چکیده
Abstract We present detailed timing and spectral analyses of the transient X-ray pulsar RX J0209.6−7427 in Small Magellanic Cloud during its 2019 giant outburst. With a better known distance than most galactic pulsars, peak luminosity is determined to be (1.11 ± 0.06) × 10 39 erg s −1 ; it thus bona fide pulsating ultraluminous source (PULX). Owing broad energy band Insight-HXMT, pulsed emission was detected from 1 keV up 130–180 band, which highest any PULXs outside Milky Way. This allows us conclude that main fan beam accretion column, intrinsic. also estimate magnetic field (4.8–8.6) 12 or (1.7–2.2) 13 G, spin evolution transition column structure outburst; we suggest two values strength correspond dipole multipole fields neutron star, similar recent discovery Galactic PULX Swift J0243.6+6124. Therefore, nature star ULX can understood within current theoretical frame accreting stars. may have implications for understanding those farther away extragalactic PULXs.

Discovery of Pulsed X-ray Emission from the Small Magellanic Cloud Transient Rx J0117.627330
We report on the detection of pulsed, broadband, X-ray emission from the transient source RX J0117.627330. The pulse period of 22 s is detected by the ROSAT/PSPC instrument in a 1992 September 30–October 2 observation and by the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory/BATSE instrument during the same epoch. Hard X-ray pulsations are detectable by BATSE for approximately 100 days surrounding the ROSAT obs...
متن کاملConstraints on Off-Axis X-Ray Emission from Beamed GRBs
We calculate the prompt x–ray emission as a function of viewing angle for beamed Gamma–Ray Burst (GRB) sources. Prompt x-rays are inevitable due to the less highly blueshifted photons emitted at angles ∼> 1/γ relative to the beam symmetry axis, where γ is the expansion Lorentz factor. The observed flux depends on the combinations γ∆θ and γθv, where ∆θ is the beaming angle and θv is the viewing ...
متن کاملX-Ray and Optical Observations of XTE J0052-723 a Transient Be/X-Ray Pulsar in the Small Magellanic Cloud
On December 27th 2000 during our regular SMC monitoring program with Rossi Xray Timing Explorer (RXTE) strong pulsations were detected with a period of 4.78 seconds. Subsequent slew observations performed on Jan 9 and 13 across the field of view allowed localisation of the pulsar’s position to RA: 05217, Dec: 721951 (J2000). The outburst continued until Jan 24, 7 PCA observations were obtained ...
متن کاملX-ray and Gamma-ray Emission from Pulsar Magnetospheres
For polar-cap models based on electromagnetic cascades induced by curvature radiation of beam particles we calculate broad-band high-energy spectra of pulsed emission expected for classical (∼ 10 G) and millisecond pulsars (∼ 10 G). The spectra are a superposition of curvature and synchrotron radiation components and most of their detailed features depend significantly on the magnetic field str...
